Celebrate Independence Day At The Beach
The 4th of July is right around the corner! If you don’t already have plans, why not take a day trip down to Santa Monica and kick-off summer the southern California way: at the beach! Not only does Santa Monica have some of California’s most beautiful beaches, but the city will also be hosting the 10th Annual 4th of July Parade. Attendees are encouraged to show their patriotic pride by wearing red, white, and blue. Afterward, enjoy Santa Monica’s world-famous pier or fun downtown scene! Or, if you’d like to stay at the beach and catch some fireworks, enjoy Marina del Ray’s fireworks display, just a short drive from Santa Monica.
The parade is founded and produced by the Ocean Park Association (OPA) and will begin at 9:30 am at the intersection of Pico Blvd. and Main St. in Santa Monica and will end at beach parking lot #5. The parade is free to view, and more information can be found at www.santamonica.com. Santa Monica is just a short twenty-minute-drive from the Gloria Homes Apartments in Los Angeles, CA.
