Vaseline: this will help lock in moisture and keep your pumpkin fresh for longer. Cover any cut edges and the inside of your pumpkin with any type of vaseline.

WD-40: surprisingly, spraying your pumpkin with WD40 will help keep it fresh and add a few extra days to its shelf life. Just remember the spray will make it flammable, so use and LED light instead of a candle.
