However, Halloween is a great way to get your kids to eat by creating a spooky decorations out of your food. Here are three simple ideas to try during the next few weeks.

Banana ghost: cut bananas in half and freeze them with a stick in the bottom. Once frozen, use two sprinkles for eyes and let your kids enjoy this spooky halloween snack. If you are a DIYer try dipping the banana pieces in white chocolate for a really tasty treat.

Breadstick snakes: buy some pizza dough and cut them into long strips. Twist the dough to create a snake looking piece and bake them. Use sprinkles for eyes and serve up these scary treats along side spaghetti for dinner.

Donut spiders: purchase a bag of mini donuts, M&Ms and pretzels. Use the M&Ms as eyes and the pretzels as spider legs and treat your kids to a scary after school snack.
