]]>A 30 minute drive down to Hermosa Beach this Memorial Day Weekend will give you a Memorial Day you will never forget. The Fiesta Hermosa is Largest Arts & Crafts Fair in Southern California, featuring approximately 300 artists including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handicrafters.
Once there you can choose from a wide selection of cuisine in the food court. The AB InBev-sponsored Charity Beer & Wine Garden offers beer, wine and beeritas with proceeds benefiting a number of local charities. There is live music on two main stages as well as a new satellite stage situated outside Java Man. A full schedule is available on their website.
Families have plenty of activities to keep the kids happy. The Kiddie Carnival features a 30 foot slide, mechanical rides and games for kids from 3 to 10 years old. There will be pony rides, a petting zoo and face painters. They didn't forget about the mommies, they can find solace in their very own tranquil zone at the Fiesta Siesta. Fiesta Siesta is a staffed, secure Mommy zone, where diapers can be changed, babies can be nursed, water can be found, and mommies can freshen up and just relax.
Fiesta Hermosa takes place Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends. The annual festival is located in downtown Hermosa Beach on Pier Plaza, Hermosa Avenue and lower Pier Avenue.

]]>The organization provides counseling, continuing education training, and job training to Los Angeles’ homeless population. The organization also provides food, shelter, personal and medical care. Overall, its one of the many wonderful organizations in the Los Angeles area. The Midnight Mission also hosts food donation drives, a special Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas events for the people its serves.
For those who would like to help, the first place to start is by signing up for regular volunteer hours (you can do so on the Mission’s website). The Mission is an all male facility, so female volunteers are asked to volunteer with another person (male or female). ]]>The festival are going on every day until Halloween and are free with the price of admission. Everyday Zoo goers can participate in photo ops, a corn stalk maze, and wonder the creepy crawler-filled caves of the Winnick Family Children's Zoo. The weekends feature additional spooky shows and workshops.
Most day even the animals try to get in on the Halloween action and they might pop up during a pumpkin carving or during other activities. The Zoo will also provide trick or treating options on the 29th and 30th.
