Use social media: the easiest way to explore a new city is to do so from the comfort of your own home. Try using FourSquare or looking at hashtags appropriate for your city on Facebook and Instagram.

Go for a jog: if you exercise, skip the gym and go for a jog around your neighborhood. Cut through small streets you might not otherwise pass through and see if you find a hidden gem or two.
